my laptop was infested with viruses again (ivy thinks it's a worm). it's a big hassle because i use my laptop a lot in research and in the preparation of lessons and exams. anyhow, i have survived the ordeal because i didn't have it anyway for the first seven years that i was teaching. it's ok now, i think. my sister's officemate reformatted it and i have just reinstalled the drivers and programs. so on thursday night i was watching er on the hallmark channel and there as a 'crazy' patient was charlie eppes (david k). i didn't recognize him at first because his hair was clean-cut. but i would recognize his eyes and voice anywhere. he's just a sight to behold and i love him, hahaha. this morning, i woke up early so that i decided to bike (i haven't been for quite a while now). on my 4th or 5th round, i saw a big snail crossing the street. i wished for it to achieve its purpose without being run by a vehicle or even human feet. everytime i passed b...

this semester, i have been really, really lazy. and to think that i have resolved to not be lazy this year. arghhh! just this weekend is an epitome of my laziness. i have been very unproductive, not reading what i was/am supposed to read, not doing what i was/am supposed to do. to add to all this laziness, my laptop has been infected with virus yet again...slowing it down, making the music sound crazy, and just pissing me off. and to top it all, i have a runny nose. i've used up one whole role of tissue already and i do not seem to run out of excess mucus. sigh! what has this new week in store for me?

just months after sara (jorja fox) left csi, now it's gil (william petersen) leaving one of my favorite tv series of all time. so sad! i wonder if warrick is really dead. the last episode posted on the web (well, on the secret website i watch the episodes on) is episode 17 of season 8 where he was shot, that was like months ago also. is it just the people who post the episodes on the website or what? anyhow, things have never been the same without sara on the show. and now that gil is also leaving, i wonder if the show will still get the same viewership as before. i for one am not that interested anymore after hearing gil's departure. however, the associated press has said that sara will return in some episodes "building up to grissom's departure." i shall watch out for those episodes. maybe they'll turn some fanfiction into reality. chris daughtry, who sang my all-time favorite song over you, will have a concert at eastwood city on july 29!!! while sonic flood, my favorite gospel rock band, will have their praise and worship night at the araneta coliseum on august 15!!! this is great, just great!!!

i am a teacher and i believe i am good at it because i love and enjoy what i am doing. in my last class today, we were discussing the communication process with an emphasis on each element of berlo's model of communication. because many of my examples are on boyfriend-girlfriend relationships, my students always asked questions about their own relationships. after the lesson, i decided to share joseph devito's model of interpersonal communication relationship (which was not actually part of the lessons)...and it encouraged more questions on relationships to which i tried to answer the best i can. up to the point when they ask me about my relationship status to which i replied none at the moment...and that i am ready to be single for the rest of my life. well, they were shocked with this. more so when i said that i am not sad about this and i am happy and enjoying my life. i was just shocked that they feel sad for me for this. as what i have previously written, it's sad to k...
