it's been a while since my last blog. i just got a bit busy with some things.
my high school class' yahoo group is very active right now. talks about career satisfaction and change started it all. people are just happy about the career move of fort who was really unhappy with her stay in pac. then care told the group about her angsts in her job...plus all those who are happy and unhappy with their careers commented.
these talks were fueled further by talks of another reunion (like when christian visited from the us) in december because of the arrival of malou and lou (rhyming names huh!). hope things will push through. anyhow, whether the grand plans will be realized or not, the reunion will surely push through however simple or grand it is.
dr. dannug was my high school geometry teacher. he is retiring from teaching when he turns 65 on aug.30. as colleagues in the institute, we prepared a despedida party for him (as with all those who have retired). the share of each is 450pesos. many people are complaining about the costs and everything. but come on, who wants to pay that much anyway? however, we owe sir dannug a party as expensive as the others who have retired before him. i just don't get some people who complain a lot about these. this person has served the college for god knows how long. 450pesos doesn't begin to pay for the services he has rendered. i am not that close to sir dannug but i just think that he deserves more than a 450-per-person share so i hope these complainers realize that.
social obligations like this are part of our lives. without these, we are mere islands. we may not agree with the expense of socializing but we have to see the reasons behind these expenses. if we don't agree, then we should make some other suggestions. if it's not deemed reasonable by the body, we should respect the decision...and we should respect one another.
haaaay! life. sometimes, there are just people in this world whose purpose, i think, is to make the lives of other people miserable, difficult and complicated. i just hope they become truly happy within them.
p.s.
attended the baptism of miguel, my friend's second child, on saturday. it was great to catch up with friends. i just want to say this, hehehe.
p.s.2
christian will be visiting chicago at the end of this month i think. he told me that he's going to the tribune tower and look at the wall where a piece of rock from corregidor can be found. enjoy and goodluck chris and as i've told you, take lots of photos for me to see.
