i am in my second class and so far, my day has been a happy one. i didn't have enough sleep (again) but things are turning out really well. i was waiting for my bus. this man who walks his dog everyday passed by and said hi. we had a chat before when he found out that i go to skyline. today, he asked me if the blind teacher at skyline is still teaching. i told him i have no idea, and if he could give me her name, i can ask around. he said that he would ask his wife.
and on to the next stranger who said hello to me while still at the bus stop. she said she's from china, 82 years old, and walks everyday to stay healthy.
strangers, they come at unexpected times which is nice.

now it's 2:25pm. i cut short my blog writing this morning because i had to go to my intercultural communication class, which brings me to my next point on why this is a good day. when i entered the classroom, prof. taylor was really not in the mood because she got angry at her students in the previous class. then, there were my classmates who missed the test last meeting. well, she was kind enough to give them a (one-time only) make-up test in her office. she summoned me to come with her as she needed me for something. and then she forgot what she was about to ask me to help her with. funny huh! it was nice anyhow because when i got my test back, i got a good score - 9 out of 10, hehehe.
oh, i forgot to write about the nice thing that happened in my first class. i had a test, which was easy. before the test, my classmate rebecca sat next to me. we had a chat and when she found out that i am alone here without my family, she gave me her number and offered to drive me around if i feel homesick. what a nice woman...there was also lulette, a student in the filipino evening class. we also had a chat last night before the class and when she found out that i didn't have a car, she offered to take me home every thursday. she also gave her number so i can text her for whatever. nice, huh.
then, i had the filipino class. the first hour was the usual and then it was my turn to continue with a review of the pronouns. i wasn't actually prepared for it. my plan was to just go through the test which i corrected and give additional examples. however, it turned out pretty well. it got really fun that time flew so fast. it's just too bad that i wouldn't be able to go to class on monday because i want to go see the tabia perform for extra credit for my class. but i will come up with something for them to do so they can practice more.
now, i am here at the learning center for my tutoring hours. i will be here until 3:30pm. i just hope that the happiness of this day so far will drag on for the rest of the weekend when i need to polish my perception paper.
good life, happy life.
