nice day

wednesday. midweek.
after a horrible week last week, with all my hormones going crazy and feeling so homesick i thought i'd hop on the next plane back home, this week is turning out to be better.
i turned in my presentation proposal for my intercultural communication class, a poem about maya angelou, who's the only person i know of the african-americans who can be our topics. i had to make it so convincing because i knew i was competing for my place. anyhow, i think i did good on the poem because i got my teacher's attention. she even summoned me to her office so we could talk about it. the talk turned out to be really productive because when she found out that my bachelor's degree is in speech communication, she offered to speak in one of the speech comm conferences in the philippines. how cool is that?! i am just glad i've taken this class so that i've met this interesting person, phyllis taylor, who is so much fun...a person who's passionate about life and at what she does that it rubs into you. she is one of a kind and she is one person the academe needs more of.
then i saw mel and riss again. because of the budget cuts, we haven't seen each other in a while. and riss and i caught up with each other as she drove me home.
well, it will be my friday tomorrow (even if i will be in school until 10 because of the filipino evening class) because friday is a holiday, and monday is a holiday, too. this is all turning our really good...even if i have first exams in both the classes i am taking.

two persons, two great friends

i could have just written this post with the tv series addict blog, but i chose not to because i just want one separate blog as a tribute to these two persons. i've just proven that people who have met through the internet or phone and haven't met even once in person can be friends, really good friends. some time ago, i joined this investigative/guessing thingy sponsored by the philippine daily inquirer on the net. they had this situation where members guess what's going to happen next or who is the person involved and kinda solve it. they even had chatrooms for members. from this room, i met two persons, nath who is from davao and ??? (god, i can't remember his name. i remember he works at the ateneo de manila university). we exchanged cellphone numbers in the chatroom and there started our friendship. i lost communication with the one whose name i can't remember but nath and i never lost communication, either through text messages or friendster messages. there is ...

february 15. childhood imagination - this is a factory of ajinomoto at the nlex. dwarfs go into this giant ajinomoto at midnight, when there are no people around, to get the ajinomoto that we buy from stores. LOL! this is actually the new shape already. my childhood imagination was with the old shape.

happy new year

happy new year!!! i’ve been meaning to post since before the new year. however, there was so much traffic in accessing the internet maybe because of the many people who update their profiles and/or send their holiday greetings. plus, i had to delete many spam comments in my friendster blog site. i don’t really understand why they are there and they just keep on piling everyday. anyway, because it’s a new year, i will have a new year’s resolution. this is the 2nd year of posting my new year’s resolution. just read on my previous posts because i have mentioned this quite a few times and i even evaluated myself if i was true to the promise, hehehe. and i plan to continue doing it even if 2008 has passed. so for this year, i resolve to save. i have been working for almost 9 years now and i haven’t saved any penny. i have a bank account and all but there’s really nothing in it. i resolve to start doing this this year because i just thought that i am not getting any younger and i am n...
