Det. Provenza is warming up to Capt. Raydor on this episode. The whole major crimes unit is actually starting to learn its ropes without Brenda. They're even starting to like the newbie Det. Sykes.
I guess it's just but normal that when people have been work colleagues for a long time, they bond and work together like family. They get to know one another's quirks and quarks so they tend to know one another's next move. When somebody new comes, what everyone was used to would somehow start to change. People are normally not keen on changing what they were used to doing. This is the main reason why cultural change is very hard to do. The effect in the workplace is the 'old' work colleagues would resist the newbies and somehow not welcome him/her with open arms.
But there is nothing permanent in this world except change. However hard it is to accept the new things that we think will shake what we are used to, we have to.
Oh well, life just is...
